Entrepreneur / Business Program

The renewed Entrepreneur Pathway stream. It allows to recruit and nominate qualified business people from around the world who have the intent and ability to move to the Provinces of Canada and establish, purchase a business or become partners in an existing business within the first 24 months of arrival in Canada on a temporary work permit. In some cases, Applicants are no longer required to submit a deposit to the Provincial Government. In Case of New Brunswick, the Province allows to get Direct Permantnet Resident Status by obtasining $100000/- Performance Deposit.

Business Research Visit A Business Plan is required and is an integral part of the application. A business research visit allows the applicant to conduct extensive research of their future business investment or proposal. The Business Research Visit must be conducted no more than one year prior to the submission of your EOI. Elaborate Business Plan is required. You must make at least one business-related visit to Ontario in the last 12 months from the date of registering an Expression of Interest if you purchase or are planning to purchase an existing business. You must demonstrate, through an elaborate Business Plan, that the business concept is of economic benefit to New Brunswick and operates for the primary purpose of earning profits by providing products and/or services. Business Experience Minimum of three years of full time work experience in the past five years either as an active business owner or working in a senior management role of a successful business. Business owners must have at least 33 1/3% ownership to qualify for points. You must have at least 24 months of full-time business experience in the last 60 months. you must be the business owner (of at least 33 3%) for at least three out of the last five years OR you are the senior manager in a business in five out of the last five years Have a minimum of three years of business ownership experience including 33.33% ownership in the last 10 years or greater than five years of experience in a senior business manager role in the last 10 years
Official Languages Proficiency A business research visit allows the applicant to conduct extensive research of their future business investment or proposal. Business Investment Minimum investment is $250,000 for businesses situated in the Manitoba Capital Region. Minimum investment is $150,000 if a business is situated outside of the Manitoba Capital Region.The proposed business must create or maintain at least one job for a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident in Manitoba (excluding owners of the business and/or their close relatives) within the Greater Toronto Area, you must make a minimum personal investment of $600,000 CDN and control at least one-third of the equity in the business. Outside of the Greater Toronto Area, you must make a minimum personal investment of $200,000 CDN and control at least one-third of the equity in the business investment of not less than CAD $250,000. Higher points awarded for higher investments Agree to make a minimum capital investment of $150,000 CAD to establish a business in Nova Scotia
Adaptability Your spouse has CLB/NCLC 5 or higher; You or your spouse or common-law partner have a close relative currently residing in Manitoba for more than one year; Points are awarded for the location of Business. The exhaustive Business Plan Spousal English Testing will award additional Points After assessment of the application is complete, if you appear to meet the Entrepreneur Eligibility Criteria you will be contacted to participate in an in-person interview with NSOI staff. You will be required to travel to Nova Scotia to participate in this interview. It is anticipated that the interview take place within 60 calendar days of NSOI’s request
Net Worth Minimum of $500,000 within the Greater Toronto Area (City of Toronto and Durham, Halton, York and Peel regions) you must have a minimum net worth of 800,000 CDN. Outside of the Greater Toronto Area you must have a minimum net worth of $400,000 CDN. personal net worth of at least CAD $600,000 of which CAD $300,000 must be liquid and unencumbered. Have no less than $600,000 CAD in unencumbered net business and personal assets that are readily available for transfer to Canada
Business Performance Agreement After an application is approved, a Business Performance Agreement (BPA) must be signed prior to the MPNP issuing you a letter of support for applying for a work permit.
